The Reset Ritual is your guide to finding alchemy in escape and living a life well explored, through mindful travel and DIY personal retreats.
There’s always potential for travel to change your life, in big ways and small. Most people who choose to travel seek that change, some press hard against it, some get inspiration from it but don’t know how to turn the possibilities into practical outcomes once back at home.
I started Wanderwell last winter with a strong vision and inspired mission to help travelers get more meaning and transformation out of their trips using my experience as a seasoned traveler and my background in holistic wellness.
The site sought to give travelers, in that last group mainly, tools to invite, shape, explore, and define how their travel experiences can cultivate lasting positive change.
Why? Because so often we feel that travel high and then go back to default mode a week or two after returning to our towns, our jobs, our relationships, our culture, our deeply ingrained and inherited values. Or on the flip side of the same coin, it becomes our default to chase the road over and over again instead of creating a life you love wherever you are now.
Wanderwell’s aim was to help people (myself included!) fully utilize travel as the powerful personal growth tool that it can be.
The Reset Ritual will continue to carry out this mission, not just through content, but products that you can use to discover yourself and the world around you, make meaningful memories, and turn inspiration into action once back home.
And that’s just part of it.
Escape is the ultimate reset button. We travel, retreat, explore, hide, go outward, go inward, shut down, and tune in to take a respite from routine and come back refreshed and renewed.
When we use escape to enrich and elevate our life instead of avoid it, it can be a powerful healer and muse that helps us point our internal compass toward our own True North and lead more intentional lives.
However, you don’t have to travel to have enriching escapes. You can create a 2-hour soulful staycation in your backyard as well as take a quest around the world. Given the right tools, plans, and know-how you can create your own personal retreats, at home or away.
So in addition to mindful travel, personal retreats have become the other cornerstone of The Reset Ritual. It’s something that Wanderwell touched on, but the interest from the community inspired personal retreats to become much more.
Just as before, The Reset Ritual is a living, breathing work and will always be an evolution. I hope you’ll stick around for the adventure.
